    Our servers are hosted in the eastern USA, through Amazon Web Services (AWS).

  • How is data secured in transit and at rest?

    All data is secured in transit via TLS 1.2 over internal and external networks when SSL is enabled on your site. Data is not encrypted at rest.

  • Does Medicine Wheel Education store, access, or transmit Personally Identifiable Information (PII) or Protected Health Information (PHI)?

    No, we only require first and last name, and an email address to create a user account.

  • Where is Thinkific information and data being stored and accessed?

    All our information is stored in secure databases hosted on the AWS cloud platform. They run on the same highly reliable infrastructure used by other Amazon Web Services. Data stored by Medicine Wheel Education

  • (Student) Display Name

    To identify the student on the platform.

  • (Student) Email Address

    An individual email address is required for student login, student account set-up, and password resets.

  • (Student) Login time, IP address, and other technical data

    We collect data about web pages that you visit and how and when you access your account, including information about the device and browser you use, your network connection and your IP address. We use this information to give you access and to improve our Services.

  • (Student) Progress in the course 

    This information is displayed to students and their teachers to see their progress in a course.

  • (Teacher) Email address

    Email address is required for teaching accounts for login, and account management.

  • Student Section data

    You may create accounts for your students (and provide each student’s display name, and student email address)
